The APBT – American PitBull Terrier

Although its exact origins are unknown, it’s believed to have been bred from English, Irish, Scottish, Welsh, or German terriers before being brought over by colonists at some point during their arrival to America.

It’s believed this old breed was also mixed with English bulldogs at some point to give them more strength for catching wild boar and larger game than their original forebears had possessed.

The Amstaff – American Staffordshire Terrier
